About this course

This intensive two-day course is designed for IT professionals looking to deepen their understanding and expertise in the Harness Continuous Integration module. Participants will be guided through a comprehensive agenda covering the essentials of the Harness platform, its operations, and advanced build strategies.

Scheduling Course

Harness Instructor-Led Training has two delivery models.

* Shared virtual - Please see the calendar for scheduling.
* Dedicated virtual / dedicated on-site - Please e-mail university@harness.io for availability.

Self-Paced Prerequisite Course

As part of registration, you will get access to the Prerequisite Course which teaches fundamentals about the Harness Platform. This course is highly recommended for those who do not have significant experience in Harness NextGen and will set you up for success throughout the training.

The course is designed to teach how the Harness module works and hence is deployment target agnostic even though we use Kubernetes for some of the lab exercises.

* Participants will dive into the Harness Platform's core components including Platform Overview, Architecture, Resource Hierarchy, Secrets, Connectors, Delegates, Pipelines, Stages, Steps, Variables, InputSets, Expressions, Approvals, Notifications, Services, Environments, Infrastructure, and Deployments.

Day 1: Scaling Harness Continuous Integration

Day One is designed to further Continuous Integration concepts such as caching and artifact publishing.

* Morning Session: An in-depth look at building with Harness CI, exploring CI build infrastructure, code base management [trunk-based development], triggers, and Test Splitting.
* Afternoon Session: The course continues with advanced topics like pipeline controls, security scans, and reporting.

Day 2: Advanced Strategies in Harness Continuous Integration

Day Two is a deeper dive in automation and intelligence such as templates and Test Intelligence.

* Morning Session: Participants will explore advanced build strategies in Harness CI, including Cache Intelligence, Test Intelligence, Docker Layer Caching.
* Afternoon Session: The final day concludes with discussions on Git Experience, templates, and platform operations with practical labs.
